Solar Quote Hub was started by Shan, after watching friends and family struggle with confusing solar quotes, opaque pricing and high-pressure sales tactics. The idea was simple: build the resource he wished existed — plain-English guides with real numbers, primary sources and no sales agenda.
Every guide on this site is published under Shan’s name and editorial responsibility. Reader corrections and questions genuinely shape what gets published next, so if something looks wrong, say so — it will get fixed.

Every guide on this site follows the same editorial process:

- Time-sensitive claims get checked. Tax credits, rebate programs and net metering rules change. We verify claims against current official sources, and a full re-verification pass of every guide is underway for 2026.
- Math is shown. When we talk about payback periods or savings, we show the assumptions: system size, electricity rate, production estimates. You can check our work.
- Updated for 2026. The end of the federal residential solar tax credit changed the economics of going solar. Our guides are written for the post-2025 reality, not outdated advice.
